This page explains what Anodyne does with your information and dental images. Last updated:

What information is collected?

  • Account information: Name, email, phone number and password (the password is stored hashed and cannot be viewed).
  • Optional profile information: Items such as date of birth, blood type, allergies and medical history that you enter in your profile yourself.
  • Images and reports: The dental images you upload for analysis and the reports built from them. Image file metadata (such as photo location) is removed during processing.
  • Appointments and conversations: The appointments you book and your text consultation messages.
  • Technical information: Account activity history (such as sign-ins and analysis submissions) with the IP address, for account security.

How are dental images processed?

Images are stored on Anodyne's servers and analyzed by Anodyne's image-processing model. To generate the report text and text consultation answers, images and text may be sent to an AI processing service; your name is not sent with the image.

According to the Terms and Conditions, images may be used to improve Anodyne's models only after complete removal of identifying information and anonymization.

Who has access to your information?

  • Personal analyses and reports can only be viewed through your own account.
  • In an organization workspace (e.g. a clinic), the organization administrator sees only general report information by default, and access to clinical content is possible only if that access is enabled for the organization.
  • When booking an appointment, the analysis summary is shared with the clinic only if you confirm it yourself.
  • Payments are made through a secure payment gateway and bank card details are not stored by Anodyne.

Cookies

Anodyne uses secure cookies to keep you signed in. Settings such as light or dark mode, the language and the selected workspace are stored in your own browser.

Retention and deletion of information

If you choose the temporary image storage option when buying credit, the selected images are kept for up to 30 minutes in that device's browser, for the same account and workspace. The draft is deleted on successful restore or sign-out; an expired draft cannot be restored and is cleared on your next visit. Do not use this option on a shared device. Saving the draft alone does not send the images to the server for analysis.

Information is kept as long as your account is active. You can delete your analyses and reports from the user panel. To request full deletion of your account, contact us via the contact page .

The dentist's responsibility

Dentists who upload their patients' images to Anodyne are responsible for explaining the nature of the AI tool to the patient and obtaining their consent.
